How it runs
Alongside your society's current system, which stays the official books.

Your society is a good fit if

  • Your society is a co-operative housing society in Maharashtra: one building or a complex of many towers.
  • An office-bearer, ideally the Treasurer or Secretary, will lead it in your society.
  • The managing committee agrees in writing to share member and account data for setting up.
  • Your member register and last year's accounts are in Excel, Tally or another export we can read.

What to include in your email

  • Society name and registration number
  • City, and number of buildings or towers and flats
  • Your name and role in the society
  • Phone number and best time to call
  • How the accounts are kept today (Excel, Tally, an accountant, other)

    Email us the details listed on this page. The time your email reaches us decides your place in the queue.

    We confirm your place

    We reply by email to confirm whether your society has a Founding place or a trial place.

  3. 3

    Set up in December 2026

    We help you load your flats, members, opening balances and bill heads. Your committee checks every figure.

  4. 4

    Go live on 1 January 2027

    Your free period starts. Trial societies keep their current system as the official books and use Khula Aashiana alongside it.

Offer terms

  1. An expression of interest is an email to connect@khulaaashiana.com with the details above. Its time of arrival (India time) decides the order of places.
  2. The Founding offer runs from 12:00 am on Friday, 6 November 2026 to 11:59 pm on Friday, 13 November 2026. Expressions of interest that reach us before it opens are treated as arriving at 12:00 am on Friday, 6 November 2026, in the order they arrived.
  3. Founding places are limited to the first 100 societies. If all places fill before Friday, 13 November 2026, later requests that week are offered the 3-month trial.
  4. The free trial applies to expressions of interest from Saturday, 14 November 2026 to 11:59 pm on Friday, 20 November 2026.
  5. For both offers the free period starts on 1 January 2027: Founding societies until 31 December 2027, trial societies until 31 March 2027.
  6. One offer per registered society, whether it is a single building or many towers. Residents never pay to use Khula Aashiana.
  7. The free period covers the Khula Aashiana subscription. Payment-gateway charges for online payments are separate and are handled as your society decides.
  8. When the free period ends, your society can continue at the price we agree with it, or leave with a full export of its records.
